Aaron and I are not afraid of a little PDA: we hold hands all of the time, walk with arms locked firmly together or sneak an occasional kiss here and there. It is very rare to be out on a weekend and see one of us without the other. This is just second nature to me and I never really give it a second thought. Someone said something to me this weekend that made me feel really good about Aaron and I, so I wanted to share.
Most weekends you will find me hanging out at a bar somewhere with friends.... sound a little backwards from what I just said? Not really. I'm there because Aaron is up on stage playing with his band. I have never missed a performance - I have left early because of work the next day, and once because I was sick, but I am always there.
I also love to dance. It is so fun to just let the music take over and have a good time out on the dance floor. I dance with my friends, and sometimes I dance by myself, but mostly I dance with Aaron. How is that when he is up on stage you ask? I am usually parked right up front dancing in front of him, or if not I am always at least sneaking glances at him the entire night.
I was out dancing with a friend of mine Saturday night and Aaron and I caught each others eye. We sat and carried on an entire conversation in the space of 30 seconds, just with our eyes. My friend was watching us. She finally leaned over and said, "You guys are the cutest thing I have ever seen".
I have been married to this man for 23 years in just two weeks, and have been with him for 27 years total. After all of those years he still gives me butterflies when I look at him, comfort when I need it and a confidence I could never get anywhere else. I love him and I'm not afraid to show it - anywhere, any time.
It makes me feel good when other people can see that too!
I love you too, hotness!
