Aaron and I discovered this little gem of an activity last year when we were looking for something different to do. Roller Derby. What a blast! If you have never been to a roller derby bout you need to check this out. It's fun, it's cheap and it is fast paced excitement.
We have gone and done this as a date, gone with friends and also with the kids. That is the beauty of it, it's just clean fun that everyone would have fun with. Just sitting in the stadium people watching before the bout starts is fun, and they always have fun pre-shows and half time shows. The crazier you dress the better. The second year of this I actually went out and bought some crazy tights to wear with a mini skirt so I would fit right in!

It does take a while to get the hang of what's going on out there, so I would read up on the rules a bit before you go so you understand what everyone is doing. Once you get it though it is a blast.
Rat City Roller Girls, in Seattle, is in full swing with their season. Check them out if you are in the area and go attend a bout. I promise you won't be disappointed. If you are not in the Seattle area just use your trusted Google to find a local league. Go and HAVE FUN!
