A Progressive Dinner

Progressive dinners are a great way to take the pressure off of you for cooking an entire meal, and involve other families in your festivities. If you haven't tried one before, now is a great time! This is typically done with three to five different families, so pick a few of your friends to join in the fun.

Each family has a dinner course assignment, and since you are the one planning it, you get to pick which one you want to do - the perks of being the instigator ;o). Adjust for the amount of families you want to include, you can either double up or eliminate a course if you have less than five families. More than five will be just too many people IMO. Assignments will be made accordingly:
1 - Appetizers
2 - Salad
3 - Main Course
4 - Dessert
5 - Games

Now the fun begins. Everyone meets at house number one for appetizers, and maybe a "get to know you" type game to get things started. Once the appetizers are finished, everyone piles into their cars and heads over to house number two for salad: this continues progressively through all of the houses until you end up at house number five for games.

It really puts a fun spin on a dinner at home, gets you socializing and getting to know other people better and gives you some fun new recipes and games to try...... I think I might put one of these together myself! I haven't done this in a long time.
