Balloon Volleyball

This time of year it's hit and miss with the weather, and really depends on what part of the country you live in. While some of you are feeling the heat already, here in Seattle we are smack dab in the middle of our 9 month rainy season ;o) It makes it really hard to get out to do anything and everyone starts getting antsy.

Try on of our favorite activities - the kids and I used to do this all the time when they were living at home, young and board..... SO long ago. Play indoor balloon volleyball.

It's a very simple game, and with a balloon everything in the house is safe from destruction. It's amazing the fun a little latex and air can bring to a board kid - heck to a board mom for that matter.

Clear the living room or rec room of all debris in the middle of the room. Get a rolled up blanket, belt, string, or any other type of object that you can make a dividing line down the center with. Put your divider in the middle of the room so that it is divided horizontally. Now make two teams, one on each side of the line. Form up and play volleyball, with your divider as the net: beach rules of course ;o)

It's amazing how much fun you can have with this little activity.
