Beaded Glass

An easy way to dress up your Valentine's table and make it look fancy is to add beaded wire to the stem of your glasses. A great project that any age can do.

Supplies needed:
26-gauge beading wire
fun holiday beads (2-3 different kinds works best)
Cut your wire into one three foot length for each glass you will be decorating. Tie a simple knot into the center of your wire. Thread your first bead onto the wire to the knot and then tie another knot on the other side of the bead, about 1/12 inches away from the first knot. Alternate your beads and repeat this until both sides of the wire are full of beads. You now have your wire garland

Twist one one of your wire around the base of your glass. Loosely wrap the garland around the stem of the glass until you reach the top of the flute's stem. Twist the wire again at the top to secure. Now, adjust the loops evenly along the stem.

If you choose your colors well this wire Valentine's day decoration can double up your for other holiday's. I'll reuse mine at Christmas time! Fancy, fun and easy.
